Hi everybody, I am interested in Billy Carson's statement that the word "Amen" comes from "Amon Ra" the brutal Egyptian ruler, who ordered everyone to say his name after every sentence or something. I would like to do more research on this because I haven't heard this before and I want to know more if it is true. The only thing I found in my Google search is that most theologians think that the similarity between Amen and Amon Ra is just coincidental, but I think Billy Carson is probably correct. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
